The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that several communities within its Tema operational area are experiencing a power outage due to a fault on its network.

In a notice issued by the Tema Region on Wednesday, June 17, ECG said the outage has affected several residential, commercial and industrial areas, including Bel Acqua, Olam Grains, Ghana Steel, Star Cement, Sethi Realty, Abodakpi Farms and parts of Kpone.

Other affected areas include Communities 25 and 26, Kent Estates, Devtraco, Adom Estates, Mt. Carmel, Bulasu, Ghana Flag, Afienya Zongo, Lebanon Zones 1 to 5, Zenu, Atadeka, Roman Down, Underbridge Market, the State School for the Deaf, Safisana, BBF, Sydal Farms, Japan City, Teteman, Santor, Jordan City, Gulf City and surrounding communities.

According to ECG, engineers have been deployed to identify and rectify the fault to restore power supply to affected customers.

The company assured residents and businesses in the affected areas that efforts are underway to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

ECG also apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage and appealed to customers for patience while repair works continue.
