President John Dramani Mahama has paid tribute to fathers across Ghana and beyond as the world marks Father’s Day, calling on men to remain committed to nurturing and raising the next generation of leaders, innovators and responsible citizens.

In a brief but inspiring message shared to commemorate the occasion, the President acknowledged the critical role fathers play in shaping families and society, urging them to continue investing in the growth and development of their children.

“Happy Father’s Day to all men. Let’s continue to build giants!” the President wrote in a Facebook post.

The message, though short, carries a powerful call to action, highlighting the importance of fatherhood in nation-building and the development of future generations.

Father’s Day is celebrated annually in many countries around the world to honour fathers and father figures for their contributions to their families and communities.

The occasion serves as an opportunity to recognise the sacrifices, guidance and support that fathers provide in raising children and helping to shape their futures.

Across Ghana, families marked the day in various ways, including church services, family gatherings and social media tributes dedicated to fathers and father figures.

Many Ghanaians used the occasion to express gratitude to men who have played significant roles in their lives, whether as biological fathers, guardians, mentors or role models.
