Kristo Asafo: Adwoa Safo shooting claims false

The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana has rejected claims that former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, was shot during an incident at the church’s property at Kwabenya, describing the allegations as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Sunday June 21, the church leadership said the incident occurred after Adwoa Safo allegedly drove her vehicle into the entrance gates of the property following a church event, causing damage to two metallic gates.

The church indicated that worshippers and guests were present at the time, and the action created a serious risk to lives and property.

It added that security personnel intervened to prevent further escalation and protect attendees.

The leadership also dismissed reports suggesting that Adwoa Safo’s brother, Kwadwo Safo Jnr, shot her, and called on authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.

The church has urged the public to rely on verified information and allow due process to establish the facts.
