Ghanaian medical doctor and entrepreneur Dr. De-Gaulle Moses Dogbatsey has been named among the 100 Legendary African Dignitaries in Health 2026, in recognition of his contributions to men’s healthcare and plant-based medicine.
The honour was announced at the 2026 edition of the 100 Legendary African Dignitaries Awards, held in Kigali, Rwanda, on June 5, 2026.
The awards celebrate influential African leaders across various sectors, with this year’s health category highlighting individuals driving innovation and impact in healthcare delivery.

Dr. Dogbatsey is the Chief Executive Officer of the Medi-Moses Clinic and Prostate Centre, a Ghana-based medical facility specialising in prostate care and men’s health conditions.
According to a press release issued by the organisers, the centre operates multiple branches across Ghana and has provided treatment to over a million patients globally over the past three decades.
The citation accompanying the award described him as a “pioneering Ghanaian medical doctor and visionary entrepreneur” who has significantly advanced access to prostate treatment through both clinical and herbal-based interventions.
Dr. Dogbatsey is an alumnus of the School of Medical Sciences at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology).
He began his medical career at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, where he rose to Senior Medical Officer before returning to academia to pursue a Master of Philosophy in Pharmacognosy (Plant Medicine).
He also previously worked at the Centre for Scientific Research in Plant Medicine in Mampong-Akuapem and received additional training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Organisers of the award said Dr. Dogbatsey “exemplifies the spirit” of the initiative, citing his leadership in promoting investment, partnerships, and innovation in African healthcare.
Reacting to the honour, Dr. Dogbatsey expressed gratitude to his family, staff, partners, and clients, describing the recognition as a major milestone for the Medi-Moses organisation.
“This is a massive win for the Medi-Moses fraternity,” he said, thanking his wife, children, and staff for their support throughout his career.
The 100 Legendary African Dignitaries Awards, organised by The Business Executive, has run since 2011 and recognises individuals across more than 20 host countries for contributions to development and leadership in Africa.
The Medi-Moses Group of Companies, which operates the Medi-Moses Clinic and Prostate Centre, says it focuses on plant-based and non-invasive treatments for prostate and other health conditions, with branches across Ghana and operations based in Accra.
