Prudential Bank LTD has once again demonstrated its keen dedication to customer growth beyond the banking hall, organising an international business trip to Turkey and China for its commercial banking customers and prospects.

The tour, in its second year running and facilitated in partnership with Nita Travel and Shipping Company, introduced the Ghanaian business leaders to new trading opportunities, supplier networks and cross-border partnerships.

The trip was structured to give participants direct access to high-level trade fairs, product sourcing tours and investor engagements. Each stop was carefully curated to match the import and export needs of the Ghanaian businesses on board.

In Turkey, the delegation attended the African Business Forum and Expo (AFEX), a two-day international trade fair that connected them with investors, manufacturers, and enterprises from Turkey and beyond. The forum provided a platform for Ghanaian participants to explore joint ventures, secure distribution and franchise agreements, and gain insights into Turkish export markets.

In China, the customers attended the 139th Canton Fair, and aided by the local partners of Nita Travels, they were taken on guided tours of product markets spanning furniture, hardware, jewelry, clothing, electronics, and cosmetics. These hands-on visits enabled direct purchases, real-time price negotiations and establishment of new supplier relationships, cutting out intermediaries and improving profit margins.

Commenting on the mission, Acting Managing Director of Prudential Bank, Ebow Quayson said the tour reflects the Bank’s belief that banking must go beyond transactions.

“We are dedicated to ensuring our customers get the best from their trading activities. This business trip is a testament to our goal of providing advisory services and stress-free business deals for our cherished customers,” he noted.

Head of Commercial Banking at the Bank, Fredrick Adomako-Ansah, said PBL is well equipped with the right trade capabilities to support the customers when they secure deals from the trip.

“Prudential Bank has various trade and international trade capabilities to support business operating in the overseas space both in Africa and the diaspora. From Letters of Credit to online platforms and PAPSS among others, we are ready to support. Successful international trade is built on three pillars: trust, relationships, and access to finance. When these come together, businesses can move beyond transactions to build sustainable partnerships that create jobs, transfer knowledge, and drive economic growth,” he added.

The Chief Executive Officer of Nita Travel and Shipping Company, Joanna Aseidu, praised the collaboration, noting that the trip provided the necessary platforms for participants to scale their businesses.

“We worked closely with Prudential Bank and other partners to ensure every participant returned with tangible business leads. From factory visits to Business to Business (B2B) meetings with suppliers, the mission was designed for results,” she said.

Participating business leaders expressed deep gratitude to the Bank’s management and called for the trip to become an annual fixature. The Bank was also awarded a prize at the AFEX event for participating in the EXPO.
