The Vice Chancellor of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS-Navrongo), Professor Albert Luguterah, has said the people of the Upper East Region deserve development at a faster pace, making the Regional Development and Business Forum both timely and significant.
Speaking to Citi News at the forum organised by the Regional Coordinating Council, Professor Luguterah emphasised the need to harness the talents and potentials of people from the region to drive sustainable development.
He noted that the university, as a development-oriented institution, is ready and willing to partner with stakeholders to enrich and support the implementation of the development blueprint.
“I think this initiative is a brilliant one. The people of the Upper East deserve development and development at a very fast rate, and one way to do so is to be able to harness the potential of the people around.
“For us as a university, we see ourselves as a catalyst for the development of the nation and particularly the Upper East region and so, we are waiting to see the full content of it and to participate in enriching it so that we can get quicker development for our people,” he said.
