Volta Region: Healthcare delivery affected as floods hit Mafi Sasekpe Health Centre

Healthcare delivery at the Mafi Sasekpe Health Centre in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region has been severely disrupted following persistent rainfall that has left parts of the facility flooded.

The health centre, which serves more than nine surrounding communities, is the only medical facility in the area, raising concerns about access to care for affected residents.

Continuous heavy rainfall has inundated sections of the facility, making it difficult for patients and staff to move freely and carry out routine healthcare services.

The situation has heightened worries among residents, who rely heavily on the centre for primary healthcare needs.
