Why do some boxers get trophies from different entities after winning just one fight? – Fiifi Gideon writes

In professional boxing, it is common to see a fighter receive several trophies, belts, or awards after winning a single fight. And the betting online page  1xBet is the best platform to wager on those fights, too.

This can confuse casual fans, especially because other sports usually crown only one champion. The reason lies in the unique structure of boxing, where multiple organisations independently recognise champions and award titles. Members of the 1xBet  online betting page can wager on the best boxers from all over the world, too.

Many entities govern the sport

The 4 major sanctioning bodies in modern boxing are the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), International Boxing Federation (IBF), and World Boxing Organisation (WBO). Feel free to try  betting sports today at 1xBet on events sanctioned by those 4 entities, too.

Each organisation has its own championship belt, ranking system, and rules. Because these groups operate separately, a boxer can win more than one title in a single fight if multiple belts are placed on the line. This is known as a “unification” bout. Members today can also try sports betting at 1xBet on those unification bouts, too.

For example, if a WBC champion fights an IBF champion and wins, the victorious boxer may leave the ring holding both organisations’ belts. In some cases, additional trophies are also awarded by other entities, with 4 examples being magazines, sponsors, promoters, or local boxing commissions.

Another reason fighters receive many awards is the existence of secondary titles. Some organisations create distinctions such as “super champion,” “interim champion,” “silver champion,” or “regular champion.” Critics argue that these extra belts increase confusion and are partly motivated by sanctioning fees paid to the organisations. Former champions and fans have often criticised the growing number of titles in boxing.

A highly decentralised system

Boxing’s decentralised system is very different from leagues such as the NBA or Premier League, where only 1 governing structure controls the championship. There is also profitable boxing betting at the 1xBet platform alongside great wagers on the NBA, Premier League and lots of other competitions too.

In boxing, independent organisations compete for influence, prestige, and revenue. As a result, one important victory can produce 3 elements from different entities at the same time, which are:

●several trophies;
●multiple belts;
●and recognition.

The 1xBet betting platform also has profitable boxing wagers on fighters who win trophies, too.
