The second day of the 2026 Northern Business Fair is underway, with organisers promising more opportunities for businesses to increase sales, expand their markets and build strategic partnerships.

The two-day fair, being held at Jubilee Park in Tamale, has attracted hundreds of businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and consumers from across the country since it opened on Saturday.

Organised by Channel One TV and Citi FM, the event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily and is expected to transform the venue into one of Northern Ghana’s largest commercial hubs.

Speaking at the opening of the fair on Saturday, the Northern Regional Minister, Ali Adolf John, urged investors to take advantage of the vast business opportunities in the region, assuring them of a conducive environment for investment and enterprise development.

Several exhibitors also expressed satisfaction with sales recorded on the opening day, adding that they were optimistic of attracting more customers and increasing revenue on the final day of the exhibition.

Over the years, the Northern Business Fair has evolved beyond a traditional exhibition into a platform where businesses generate sales, strengthen customer relationships and unlock new growth opportunities.

For many exhibitors, the fair provides an opportunity to engage directly with consumers, receive immediate feedback on their products and increase brand visibility.

The success of the previous edition, where several exhibitors sold out their products before the close of the event, has heightened expectations for this year’s fair, with returning businesses seeking to expand their customer base while new exhibitors hope to achieve similar results.

Visitors are expected to experience a wide range of products and services, including locally processed agricultural products, fashion, cosmetics, handicrafts, household items, technology solutions and financial services, alongside other Made-in-Ghana products.

The fair also features live product demonstrations and interactive exhibition stands, allowing patrons to interact directly with manufacturers, entrepreneurs and business owners.

Beyond generating immediate sales, the event offers small and medium-sized enterprises an opportunity to launch new products, understand consumer preferences and establish partnerships that could support long-term business growth.

Organisers say the fair also seeks to address the market access challenges faced by many businesses in Northern Ghana by connecting them with consumers, corporate organisations, investors and development partners in one location.

Consumers are also expected to benefit by discovering locally made products, comparing offerings from different exhibitors and taking advantage of promotional discounts available during the event.

The Fair is intended to promote entrepreneurship, encourage local production and strengthen collaboration among businesses while positioning Northern Ghana as an attractive destination for investment.

This year’s edition has been opened to businesses from across Ghana, with organisers encouraging companies outside the Northern Region to explore new markets and showcase their products and services to a wider audience.

The 2026 Northern Business Fair is powered by Channel One TV with support from Citi FM and is sponsored by Ecobank, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) and Northshore Apparel Ghana Ltd.
