The family of Highlife legend Daddy Lumba has marked the first anniversary of his passing by revealing that the celebrated musician was laid to rest in a mausoleum at his private residence in East Legon, Accra.
The disclosure was made by the musician’s sister, Faustina Fosuh, during a private memorial ceremony held on Saturday to commemorate one year since his death.
She said the family buried the Highlife icon, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, at his East Legon home, bringing to an end months of speculation about his final resting place.
“I would like to tell all my brother’s fans across the world that if anyone wants to see where he was buried or his final resting place, they can come to East Legon, to his house,” she said.
The private ceremony brought together family members and close associates to celebrate the life and legacy of one of Ghana’s most influential musicians. It also offered the first public glimpse of Daddy Lumba’s final resting place.
Daddy Lumba died on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra at the age of 60.
