Hon. Edmond Boateng, Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Ghana and Secretary of the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana, has been enstooled as Okyenhene Amanonehene by the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, during the grand durbar marking the climax of the 2026 Ohum Festival in Kyebi.
The title of Amanonehene is a recognised office within the Okyeman traditional Area, symbolising leadership, representation and stewardship beyond the traditional frontiers of the kingdom.
Hon. Boateng, who serves as Honorary Consul of Luxembourg to Ghana, has been involved in promoting bilateral relations between Ghana and Luxembourg, as well as facilitating investment and business partnerships. He also serves as Secretary of the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana.
His enstoolment reflects the Okyeman traditional authority’s recognition of his contributions in diplomacy and international engagement.

The ceremony brought together traditional rulers, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders and other invited guests as part of activities marking this year’s Ohum Festival.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Mr Boateng reaffirmed his commitment to humility, service and unity.
The Ohum Festival is an annual celebration of the Akyem Abuakwa State, during which the Okyenhene and traditional leaders observe customary rites, celebrate the kingdom’s cultural heritage and undertake important traditional events, including the installation of chiefs and office holders.
