Former President, John Dramani Mahama, has extended his hearty congratulations to Keir Starmer and the UK Labour Party on their landslide victory in the recent British elections.

In an X post, Mr Mahama expressed his delight at the outcome of the elections.

“The people have spoken,” he said, emphasizing the democratic process that led to Labour’s victory.

Mahama also expressed his anticipation for a strengthened partnership between Ghana and the UK.

He stated, “I look forward to a strong partnership between our two countries.”

Drawing parallels between the UK and Ghana, Mahama noted that Ghana would also be having its elections soon.

He expressed optimism for a positive outcome for his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections.

“Like the UK, Ghana will also have elections soon, and I hope for a positive outcome for my party,” he said.

Mahama also expressed his desire for continued good relations with the Labour Party.

“Congratulations to @Keir_Starmer and @UKLabour on their landslide victory in the British elections. The people have spoken, and I look forward to a strong partnership between our two countries. Like the UK, Ghana will also have elections soon, and I hope for a positive outcome for my party and our continued good relations with Labour. #ElectionResults #GhanaUKrelations,” he stated.
