Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) are responding to a fire outbreak near the Central Police Station in Accra.
In a Facebook post, the GNFS said firefighters from the Accra City Fire Station were leading efforts to contain the blaze, with additional support deployed from the Ministries, Parliament and Industrial Area Fire Stations.
According to the Service, three additional fire tenders have been dispatched to assist in bringing the situation under control and preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire, while no casualties or extent of damage have been reported.
Emergency personnel remain at the scene as firefighting operations continue.
