John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Ghanaians to vote for him and his running mate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and reject the “corrupt, greedy and arrogant” NPP government.

The former President also urged Ghanaians to vote for change in the 2024 general elections, promising to restore the dignity and prestige of the presidency.

He believes that the current administration has diminished the stature of the office and is seeking a mandate to revitalize it.

Mahama expressed optimism that Ghanaians will entrust him with their votes to alleviate the hardships and suffering facing the nation, bringing an end to the current era of difficulty and ushering in a new period of prosperity and progress.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Mr Mahama said, “With your votes, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and I will restore dignity, humility, vision, and experience to the presidency. The TIME for CHANGE is coming and like many Ghanaians, I am certain that on 7th December, you will vote for change to end the suffering of this nation.”

He outlined his motivation for seeking the mandate of the electorate in the December polls, emphasising his commitment to creating decent jobs, reviving the struggling economy, and implementing policies that will improve the livelihoods of Ghanaians

“On 7th December, I will need your vote to RESET our beloved country, Ghana, fix the broken economy, create decent and well-paying jobs for the youth through the 24-hour economy initiative and establish a National Women’s Bank to provide financial assistance to one million women businesses,” he pledged.

150 DAYS TO ELECTION 2024
THE TIME FOR CHANGE IS COMING.

Today is one hundred and fifty (150) days to the December 7, 2024, presidential and parliamentary elections.

The TIME for CHANGE is coming and like many Ghanaians, I am certain that on 7th December, you will vote for change to end the suffering of this nation.

I urge you, my fellow Ghanaians, to vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC for CHANGE to signal the need for us, all, to build the Ghana we want together.

Building Ghana together means voting MAHAMA—your experienced, visionary, truthful and
humble servant—as the next President of Ghana.

Building Ghana together means rejecting the arrogance, corruption, and greed of this non-performing NPP administration that only seeks to extend the misrule and socio-economic hardships imposed on us by the Akufo-Addo Bawumia government.

On 7th December, I will need your vote to RESET our beloved country, Ghana, fix the broken economy, create decent and well-paying jobs for the youth through the 24-hour economy initiative and establish a National Women’s Bank to provide financial assistance to one million women businesses.

I need your vote to investigate and punish the corrupt NPP officials who have stolen and continue to steal from the poor taxpayer, scrap the COVID and E-levies, abolish ex-gratia and reduce the size of government drastically to a maximum of sixty ministers. With your votes, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and I will restore dignity, humility, vision, and experience to the presidency.

God bless you for deciding to vote for CHANGE on December 07.
John Dramani Mahama
Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress 2024
Wednesday July 10, 2024.
