The Upper East Regional Minister, Donatus Atanga Akamugri, has affirmed the region’s readiness to host the Channel One TV and Citi FM Heritage Caravan when it arrives in March as part of the 2025 tour.

During a courtesy call by a delegation from the Ghana Tourism Authority and Offshore Events, Mr. Akamugri expressed enthusiasm for the initiative and pledged the region’s full support for its success.

The delegation formally invited him to an exhibition and mini-durbar scheduled for March 4 at Ganass Hotel, where the region will officially welcome the Heritage Caravan.

Mr. Akamugri reiterated his office’s commitment to working with key stakeholders to promote and develop tourism in the Upper East Region.

He highlighted the region’s rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and unique attractions, underscoring the need to position it as a top-tier tourist destination.

He further assured the visiting team of his administration’s full support in ensuring the success of the Caravan’s activities in the region, recognising its potential to boost local tourism, create economic opportunities, and showcase the Upper East Region to both local and international visitors.

The Heritage Caravan 2025 is powered by Channel One TV in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority, with support from 97.3 Citi FM.

And it’s proudly sponsored by the National Lottery Authority, Hollard Insurance, OmniBSIC Bank, GOIL PLC, GB Foods, Standard Water, Appolonia City and Peeva Beverages.
