QNET, a 26-year-old global lifestyle and wellness-focused direct selling company operating in many countries across the world, has officially opened its Compliance Office in Ghana.
The ceremony, which was graced by the leadership of the Economic and Organised Crime Office, EOCO and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service, took place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the office premises on Lagos Avenue in the East Legon area of Accra in Ghana.
QNET has intensified its deliberate fight against scams by opening a Compliance office in Ghana to address the pertinent issue of scammers who are misusing its brand name to deceive unsuspecting Ghanaians.
The Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department, DCOP Lydia Donkor, officially declaring the office open, said: “This office launch is very symbolic. QNET is taking steps to ensure its business name and legitimacy are not marred by reports of scams and illegal claims using its name. As law enforcement, we are also pleased that today’s opening is quite significant, because we will be able to partner with them or they partner with us to ensure that the right thing is done.”
She continued: “It is good for QNET to have this symbolic office so that if people need to know something about QNET, this is a legitimate business they can come to. Having this office will help, so that we can weed out people who take advantage of their (QNET) name to do illegal things or scam people.
“It is time we reduce these scams that are happening within our country and outside. So, on this day, we are pleased to have their executives here. The office is operational, the business is open, and people can identify with it when they need to.”
QNET stated the commitments the Compliance office is programmed to achieve as follows:
- A Commitment to Accountability – This office will serve as the single point of contact for all regulatory and legal matters concerning QNET in Ghana. Here, QNET will engage proactively with all government bodies, from EOCO, the Police, to the Ghana Immigration Service and beyond. QNET lawyers and compliance officers will listen, respond, and ensure that QNET operates with full transparency and accountability.
- A Commitment to Enforcement – The office has a mandate to monitor the activities of QNET’s independent distributors across the country. QNET will ensure that it operates within the boundaries of the law, respecting both the spirit and the letter of ethical business conduct. Where breaches occur, QNET will act decisively—whether that means disciplinary action or handing them over to law enforcement for prosecution.
- A Commitment to Protection – Above all, the office will serve to protect the public from fraudsters misusing QNET’s name. Protect QNET’s partners from misinformation. Protect victims of scams by supporting investigations and, where possible, pre-empting crime through intelligence sharing with the security agencies such as EOCO, Ghana Police and Ghana Immigration Service.
Ramya Chandrasekaran, Chief Communications Officer for the QI group, parent company of QNET, Biram Fall, Regional General Manager for QNET in the sub-Saharan Africa region, Col (rtd) Rashid Salifu, Managing Director of Bosumtwi Industries and QNET Training Centre in Ghana, Lawyer Naana Quartey, Global Compliance Officer for QNET, were present at the event.
Earlier on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, QNET officially announced a strategic collaboration with EOCO in a press conference graced by the acting Executive Director of EOCO, Mr. Raymond Archer, who pledged his support for QNET’s intensified fight against scams and misrepresentation of its brand in Ghana.
QNET’s collaboration with EOCO will:
- Support the proactive investigation and disruption of criminal schemes involving brand impersonation and fraud.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity building on detecting and preventing fraud and human trafficking.
- Raise public awareness about how syndicates operate and the signs of a potential scam.
- Share information on suspicious activities in a structured and timely manner to improve enforcement action.
