The National Commission for Culture (NCC) has inaugurated a new governing board with a mandate to strengthen Ghana’s cultural identity and support the country’s broader development agenda.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in Accra on Monday, August 4, 2025. Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, who also chairs the board, underscored the importance of strategic leadership in safeguarding and promoting Ghana’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.
The newly appointed board members are: Wakefield Wisdom Ackuaku, Richard Baffour-Awuah, Bridget Mensah, Abena Annobea Asare, Mama Aflo-Vuiede II, Dr. Jacob Paarechuga Anankware, Gladys Boateng, Anna Kportufe, Edinam Korkor Atatsi, Mildred Ashley, Abdul-Samed Yakubu Gomda, and Adiza Baba-Issah.
