The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has revealed that security personnel have begun reviewing CCTV footage capturing individuals who defaced part of the artistic painting at the Asokwa Interchange.
According to the Minister, the security chiefs will provide appropriate advice after analysing the footage.
Speaking to the media during a visit to the project site, Dr. Amoakohene said the review aims to ensure due diligence in identifying and holding accountable those responsible for the act.
He further warned that the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) will closely monitor the project to safeguard it from future vandalism.
Dr. Amoakohene also pledged to improve the lighting at the Asokwa Interchange to deter criminal activity. He confirmed that he had instructed the Asokwa Police Command to assign at least two security officers to oversee and protect the project site.
The Minister urged the public to respect public artworks, describing them as symbols of civic pride and community development.
