The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has urged Maripoma Enterprise Limited, the contractor responsible for the construction of the Dambai Bridge, to ensure the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and without compromising on quality.
The Minister underscored the strategic importance of the bridge to the Oti Region, noting that it will improve connectivity, facilitate the movement of people and goods, and support economic activities in Dambai and surrounding communities.
Speaking during an inspection of the project as part of his nationwide road inspection tour of the Oti Region, Mr. Agbodza urged the contractor to remain focused on timely delivery while maintaining strict adherence to quality specifications, stressing that government expects the project to provide long-term benefits for residents and road users in the region.
He indicated that the Dambai Bridge is being funded by the Government of Ghana and must be delivered to the highest engineering standards to serve its intended purpose.
“We are doing this with our own resources. No amount of it is a loan we took from other countries so Ghanaians must be proud that for once we are spending our own money to do something like this. I think the contractors will be guided and help as much as possible to be able to deliver on time, on budget and without compromising on the quality,” he said.
