Spokesperson for a group calling itself the Concerned New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Coalition, Baba Alhassan, has been granted bail in court.
He was picked up in connection with the recent chasing out of office of the Chief Executive Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr. David Zaawumya Kolbila.
Other members of the group including members of the pro-NPP group Kandahar boys, have already been granted bail shortly after they were also arrested.

He was arraigned in a Magistrate Court 2 in Tamale on Friday August, 17, 2018.
The Presiding Judge, His Honor Justice Anthony Aduku Aidoo granted Baba Alhassan bail of 10, 000 cedis with three sureties.
The three sureties should be government salary earners earning not less 1, 000 Cedis.
They are also required to submit their passport size photographs to the court Registrar in fulfillment of the bail requirements.
Counsel for the accused, Mohammed Shaibu, pleaded for clemency in view of his client’s remorseful conduct.
According to him, the facts as stated by the Prosecutor did not indicate that the accused attempted to steal or cause damage to the Tamale Teaching Hospital property.
He again argued that Baba Alhassan was not captured on the video of that unlawful act which went viral on social media.
He therefore described the charges against the accused as Misdemeanor for which he should be granted bail.
His Honor Justice Anthony Aduku Aidoo sent a clear message to the general public to take full responsibility of their actions.
He said even though the accused person may not have been captured on the video, the action of the group of which the accused is the Spokesperson, denied other people their right to medical care in view of the health workers three-days strike.
In a related development, the Northern Regional Police Command has written to the Tamale Teaching Hospital management for space to establish a police post there.
The hospital staff as part of their demands during their protest requested for a permanent police post.
