The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, has called on the family of slain Tiger Eye PI investigator, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, assuring them of a thorough probe to arrest the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
The Director of Operations of the CID, ACP Joseph Gyamerah Oklu, was part of the delegation to Ahmed Hussein Suale’s family home in Madina.

He assured the family that the CID Director General, DCOP Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, is effectively supervising the case.
She has directed that the investigation be based at the CID headquarters “so that it will be right under her watch. She will supervise everything and make sure that the perpetrators are brought to face justice because nobody is happy at such an event occurring.”
Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot three times last Wednesday by two gunmen on a motorbike.
He was reportedly hit twice in the chest and once in the neck when the assailants shot into his car.
He was a key member of the team that uncovered corruption in Ghana football in July 2018 following an investigative piece.
He has also cooperated with the BBC on some investigative pieces as part of his work with Tiger Eye PI.
Nyantakyi, Ken Agyapong interrogated over Ahmed Suale killing
The Ghana Police Service says it has interrogated former Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi and MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong as part of its investigations into the killing of an employee of Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
In a statement issued on Monday, the police said its team of detectives has taken statements from both individuals over the matter.
The Police revealed that it had gotten many significant leads about Ahmed Suale’s death and was following up those leads to help it identify the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
“The CID continues to interrogate other persons of interest as well as following up on multiple significant leads,” it said.
The MP for Assin Central came under heavy attack following news of the journalists’ death because he openly called for retribution against Ahmed-Suale on TV in the heat of the release of the #Number12 video in July 2018.
Others also pointed accusing fingers at Kwesi Nyantakyi who has been banned perpetually by FIFA and lost all his positions in local and international football due to the #Number12 exposé.
Many international organizations including associations of journalists have condemned the killing and called for speedy and thorough investigations.
A US Congressman has also suggested that the US assists Ghana to investigate the matter which has been described as an affront to democracy and free speech in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the police is urging the public to volunteer relevant information to help it identify the perpetrators of the crime.
While committing to ensure a diligent work is done on the case, the police assured the public of making all information it gathers in connection with the investigation public, when it is appropriate to do so.
