A lecturer with the Planning Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University for Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Camynta Baezie has said he is the best candidate to replace the current MP for Nadowli/Kaleo Constituency, Alban S. K Bagbin.
Making a strong case for himself after submitting his nomination form yesterday, Thursday, Dr. Camynta said his vast experience in politics and corporate governance makes him the best among his contenders.
The current MP for the constituency, Alban Bagbin will not be contesting to be MP after 28 years in Parliament.
Subsequently, nine party members have expressed interest in contesting for the yet to be vacant seat.
Speaking at the party’s District Office at Nadowli, the former Executive Chairman of the State Enterprises Commission, Dr. Camynta, pledged to take the constituency a notch higher.
“I was part of the Bagbin campaign team for 2012. I was part of the campaign itself for 2016. I was a member of the constituency executives so when it comes to knowledge in the constituency, I don’t have an equal,” he said asserting his competence ahead of the primaries.
The Parliamentary primaries have been scheduled to take place on 24th August 2019.
