Four people have reportedly been killed in Kunbuni, a farming community in the Nanumba South District of the Northern Region, following a violent land dispute.
The incident has created tension in the area, with fears of further clashes between the feuding parties.
The dispute, which has been ongoing for some time, was taken to court, where a ruling was made in favour of one party, Jatodo.
However, tensions resurfaced when the victorious group attempted to access the land for farming following heavy rains on March 16.
Their actions were met with strong resistance from the opposing side, leading to a deadly confrontation.
During the attack, four individuals lost their lives as violence erupted on the disputed land. The tragic event has left the community in a state of shock, with many residents fearing more violence if immediate action is not taken.
In response to the escalating situation, the Coordinating Director for the Nanumba South District has been making urgent calls for security intervention.
