The Kwesimintsim District Police Command in the Western Region has arrested a man, Anthony Acquah, for allegedly murdering his 17-year-old brother, Francis Mensah, at Mampong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi, on August 16, 2025.
According to a police report, Acquah is alleged to have stabbed his younger brother to death around 6:00 p.m. following a misunderstanding.
He reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident and went into hiding.
In a statement issued on August 21, the police disclosed that intelligence led to Acquah’s arrest on August 20, 2025, at his hideout in Kojokrom, near Sekondi.
The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with investigations.
