The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of two timber concession guards and the burning of a vehicle at the Mpamso Forest near Nsuhia in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region.
The incident occurred on October 26, 2025.
According to police sources, intelligence-led operations led to the arrest of 45-year-old motor mechanic Bashiru Kinda.

Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer, Bono Regional Police Command noted that “During a search of his residence, officers reportedly retrieved an Automatic Bruni Model 96 9mm K pistol loaded with three rounds of 7.65mm ammunition, as well as four mobile phones, machetes, talismans, and other amulets.”
Police say efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend other individuals believed to be connected to the crime.
Arrangements are also being made to arraign the suspect before court.
