The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced the opening of an overflow car park at the Kotoka International Airport to accommodate the expected surge in passenger traffic during the Christmas travel season.
In a statement released on Monday, December 15, 2025, in a Facebook post, GACL said the additional parking facility is located adjacent to the existing Terminal 3 (T3) car park and provides about 300 extra parking bays to improve convenience for passengers and visitors using the airport during the festive period.
The company noted that parking attendants will be stationed along access routes to guide motorists to the overflow parking areas as they approach the airport, to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce congestion.
GACL said the measure forms part of efforts to enhance customer experience and manage increased vehicular traffic associated with the Christmas travel rush.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to improving airport services, stating that it remains focused on serving the needs of passengers better during peak travel periods and beyond.
