Ghanaian music producer M.O.G Beatz has officially announced the resolution of his long-standing copyright infringement dispute with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, known officially as Charles Nii Armah Mensah.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, December 11, 2025, the producer confirmed that all matters relating to the case have been “fully resolved,” describing the development as an important milestone not only for himself but for the broader creative industry.
The dispute, which attracted industry-wide attention earlier this year, centred on allegations by M.O.G Beatz that Shatta Wale had commercially benefited from several songs he produced without adequate compensation or formal agreements.
The tensions escalated in August when two of Shatta Wale’s albums were briefly taken down from Apple Music following copyright complaints.
In his statement, M.O.G Beatz said the conclusion of the matter demonstrates a shared commitment to safeguarding creative work, promoting mutual respect, and ensuring fairness within our music industry.
He expressed deep gratitude to his legal team for their professionalism and dedication throughout the process, and thanked individuals who supported him, including Mr. Seidu and Mr. Kojo Spio, for what he described as their unwavering support, guidance, and steadfast belief in justice.
“To everyone who stood by me, encouraged me, and valued the importance of protecting artistic rights – thank you,” he added.
