A fire outbreak in the early hours of Tuesday, March 31, 2026, has claimed the lives of two people at Kodjonya, a suburb in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.
Reports indicate that the victims were burnt beyond recognition, while a third person was rescued with multiple injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Officials from the Ghana Police Service’s Odumase-Krobo District Command, alongside personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service at the Kpong Fire Station, have taken control of the scene and launched investigations to determine the cause of the blaze.
The Police are completing the necessary formalities to transfer the deceased to the Akuse Government Hospital morgue.
