All academic activities have been suspended at the TMA Daycare following an aircraft crash in Tema that claimed two lives, to allow for investigations.
The incident occurred on the daycare premises in Community 1 and involved a microlight aircraft with registration number 9G-ADV. The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) later confirmed that the aircraft was en route from Ho to Accra.
The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16. Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service responded promptly and extinguished the flames after the aircraft caught fire.
Two bodies were recovered and transported to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Officials from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority are currently at the scene, clearing debris from the daycare premises.
Preliminary investigations have commenced as authorities gather the necessary evidence and indicators to determine the cause of the crash.
