The Parish Priest of St Theresa Catholic Church, Kaneshie, Rev. Francis Destiny Amenuvor, has urged Christians to draw on inner strength to confront both spiritual and physical challenges as they mark Easter.
Easter, one of the most significant events in the Christian calendar, commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ and symbolises hope, renewal, and victory over sin and death.
Speaking to Citi News on Good Friday, 3 April, Rev. Amenuvor encouraged believers to reflect on Christ’s suffering and seek strength through prayer.
“So for me, the Passion is a two-edged sword the suffering and pain inflicted upon Him, but also the inner strength. So for us Christians, as we experience the Passion of Christ, we should be praying for inner strength so that whatever violence is inflicted upon us, we have the strength to face it.”
