The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has extended the deadline for the payment of membership dues to Tuesday, May 5, 2026, following reported challenges with its online payment platform.
In a statement issued by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the decision was taken after numerous complaints from members about difficulties in accessing and using the system. The party’s IT Directorate is currently working to resolve the issues and restore full functionality.
As part of interim measures, the party has directed all Polling Station Elections Committees not to disqualify any prospective candidate solely on the basis of inability to provide proof of dues payment during this period.
However, the committees have been instructed to keep detailed records of members who have successfully paid their dues and those who are yet to do so.
The National Secretariat is expected to publish a final list of members in good standing—those who have fully paid their dues—before the scheduled polling station elections.
The party leadership has called for patience and cooperation from members as efforts continue to address the technical challenges.
