The Ghana Police Service has arrested two persons in connection with the disappearance of Dr Jesse Amuah and his wife, Mrs Elizabeth Esi Amuah, as investigations intensify to trace the whereabouts of the couple.

The Missing Persons Unit received a complaint on April 22, 2026, that the couple had not been seen or heard from since March 23, 2026. The complainant further indicated that their residence was found locked, their Nissan Sunny vehicle with registration number GX 159-X was not parked at the house, and repeated attempts to contact them had been unsuccessful.

Following the report, a joint team made up of officers from the Missing Persons Unit, the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit and the Crime Scene Management Team took over the case.

Police said the team visited the couple’s residence and pursued several lines of inquiry, which led to the arrest of two suspects, whose identities have been withheld for investigative purposes.

The suspects are currently assisting police with investigations as efforts continue to locate the missing couple.

The Police have also urged members of the public with credible information on the whereabouts of the couple to report to the nearest police station for immediate action.
