The Member of Parliament for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Yussif Sulemana, has launched an initiative aimed at supporting needy pregnant women with a seed capital of GHC100,000.
According to Yussif Sulemana, the initiative seeks to reduce cases where pregnant women avoid seeking medical care due to financial difficulties and to improve access to maternal healthcare services within the district.
He further reiterated the commitment of the government of President John Dramani Mahama to the construction of a new ultra-modern district hospital for the people of Bole.
As part of the visit, the Medical Superintendent of the Bole District Hospital, Dr. Jonathan, together with the Member of Parliament, toured the various departments and units of the hospital to gain firsthand insight into the working conditions of staff.
Dr. Jonathan highlighted some of the major challenges confronting the hospital and expressed appreciation to the Member of Parliament for the timely intervention and support initiative introduced for the facility and needy expectant mothers.
