Delta Air Lines hosted a media luncheon in Accra to commemorate 20 years of operations in Ghana, reflecting on its journey since launching service in 2006.
The luncheon brought together editors and journalists from leading media houses for an engagement with Delta leadership focused on the airline’s journey in Ghana, key milestones, and plans for continued growth in the market.
The session also highlighted Delta’s continued investment in customer experience, including the deployment of the Airbus A330-900neo on the Accra route and seamless connectivity through New York to more than 215 destinations worldwide.
For two decades, the media has played an important role in sharing Delta’s story in Ghana, highlighting milestones, strengthening public awareness, and telling stories of connectivity, customer experience, and community impact.
In addition to the 20th anniversary in Ghana, the airline held a commemorative dinner in Accra, bringing together senior government officials, aviation leaders, partners, customers, media, and key stakeholders for an evening of reflection and celebration.
The event was attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy, representatives from the Office of the Chief of Staff at the Presidency, the American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana, Ghana Airports Company Limited, Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, airline partners, customers, media, and industry stakeholders.
The evening celebrated not only a milestone in aviation but also two decades of partnership, trust, and shared progress between Delta and Ghana.
The dinner featured remarks and stakeholder engagements reflecting on Delta’s 20 years of uninterrupted service between Ghana and the United States, alongside recognition of the partnerships and collaboration that have contributed to Delta’s sustained growth and presence in Ghana.
As Delta marks 100 years globally, the anniversary also signals the next phase of its journey, continued investment in innovation, customer experience, operational excellence, and long-term growth across Africa.
