The family of Christopher Ahordor, a mobile money vendor who was shot and killed in Aflao in April 2025, has demanded immediate action against four suspects linked to the incident.
According to the family, although the suspects were arrested shortly after the shooting, they have yet to be prosecuted, raising concerns that the case may go unresolved after months of investigations.
The Ghana Police Service arrested four suspects in connection with the killing of the mobile money vendor on April 28, 2025.
Addressing the Press on Tuesday, May 19, family spokesperson, Edem Viglo Mensah expressed disappointment over the delay in the prosecution process, saying the family is gradually losing confidence in the justice system.
They also raised concerns over what they describe as the slow handling of the case, despite the early arrest of the suspects.
“We want to state unequivocally that justice delayed is justice denied. We demand the urgent intensification of investigations into the case. We cannot remain silent when a life has been brutally taken, and the actions of the authorities appear inadequate and deeply concerning.”
