A first-year student of the Tamale Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Yakubu Daniel Sheini, is appealing for financial support to enable him complete the remaining four semesters of his three-year nursing programme.

The orphan, while narrating his ordeal, disclosed the difficulties he faced in raising funds to pay his first year tuition fees and other educational expenses.

According to him, life has been a struggle since the loss of both parents, adding that it took the support of some individuals and members of UDS – UTAG to help him secure admission and settle his initial tuition fees.

He is therefore appealing for permanent sponsorship or support from philanthropists and benevolent individuals to enable him achieve his dream of becoming a nurse.

“Last semester, I went around appealing for funds to pay my school fees. This semester, I was given an allowance, but I still had to seek additional support from kind-hearted people to cover my fees.

I have  two years left to complete my programme. However, I do not have a steady source of support to cover my school fees during this period. I am therefore appealing to the President and anyone who is willing to support me to help me complete my programme by assisting with my school fees and other related expenses,” he said.
