Ghana’s Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has achieved a significant academic milestone, graduating with a Master of Laws (LLM) in Professional Legal Practice.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the University of Law’s Barbican Centre campus in London.
Sharing the news on his Facebook page, Sam George revealed that he enrolled in the programme in 2023 and completed it in 2025. He noted that his academic journey was not without challenges, particularly as he had to pause his studies in 2024 to focus on election campaign activities.
“Earlier this morning, I took part in the graduation ceremony of The University of Law at the Barbican Centre,” he wrote. “I enrolled in the program in 2023 and completed it in 2025, taking a hiatus in 2024 during the election campaigns. A pretty challenging endeavour as I combined the multiple phases of my life.”
The minister further disclosed that the qualification now admits him as a Solicitor of England and Wales, marking a major professional achievement alongside his political career.
He expressed gratitude to his family and friends, for supporting him throughout the demanding period, describing himself as a lifelong learner committed to continuous growth.
“I hope this inspires someone out there to pursue any dream that they have deferred. You never know what you can achieve until you start,” he added.
Sam George’s accomplishment has been widely seen as a testament to balancing public service with personal development, offering motivation to many who aspire to further their education despite demanding schedules.
He ended his message on a forward-looking note: “On to the next pursuit.”
