Enterprise Insurance renews partnership with GUTA to strengthen protection for traders

Enterprise Insurance has renewed its strategic partnership with the Ghana Union of Traders’ Association (GUTA), reaffirming its commitment to providing accessible and affordable insurance solutions to traders and small businesses across the country.

The renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), first signed in 2023, seeks to deepen insurance penetration among GUTA’s members nationwide by providing tailored solutions, particularly for shops, businesses, and motor vehicles.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Managing Director of Enterprise Insurance, Akosua Ansah-Antwi, described the partnership as one built on trust and a shared commitment to helping traders grow with confidence.

“Insurance is more than a policy; it is peace of mind. Through our new ‘Ɛto Wo A, Da!’ campaign, we are encouraging Ghanaians to prepare for the unexpected. When your business, shop, or vehicle is protected with Enterprise Insurance, you can face life’s uncertainties with confidence, knowing you have a trusted partner by your side,” she said.

Mrs. Ansah-Antwi further noted that Enterprise Insurance’s commitment is demonstrated through prompt claims payment. She disclosed that following the recent market fires, the company paid over GH¢11 million in claims to more than 1,000 affected customers, enabling them to recover and resume their businesses quickly.

She added that the renewed partnership would leverage GUTA’s nationwide network to expand insurance awareness and provide practical protection for thousands of traders across Ghana.

The President of GUTA, Clement Boateng, described the partnership as the result of constructive engagements between the two institutions and expressed satisfaction with its progress since its inception. He noted that the collaboration was established to address the insurance needs of traders, covering their shops, vehicles, businesses, and other assets, while delivering mutual benefits to both organisations.

Mr. Boateng said he was encouraged by the successful implementation of the partnership, adding that since the agreement was first signed, both GUTA and Enterprise Insurance had worked together in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation, with no cause for concern from either party.

Earlier this year, Enterprise Insurance also supported the GUTA Awards and provided comprehensive motor insurance for GUTA’s newly-acquired vehicle, reaffirming its commitment to protecting the association and its members.

The renewed MoU reinforces the shared commitment of Enterprise Insurance and GUTA to building resilient businesses, protecting livelihoods, and supporting the continued growth of Ghana’s trading community.
