International School of Accra posts historic IB diploma result

The International School of Accra (ISA) has announced exceptional results for its IB Diploma Class of 2026, cementing its reputation as a leader in international education in West Africa.

All ten candidates who sat for the May 2026 examination successfully earned their diplomas – a 100% pass rate.

The cohort’s average score of 40.3 points dwarfs the global average of 30.88, placing ISA among the top-performing IB schools worldwide.

• Six students (60% of the cohort) scored 40 points or above – placing them in the top 3% globally.
• 80% of the cohort achieved 39 points or above, demonstrating outstanding consistency.
• The lowest score of 35 points is still well above the global average and significantly exceeds the 24-point pass threshold.

These results are arguably the best achieved by any IB school in Ghana this year.

Strong Governance Driving Excellence

ISA’s success is underpinned by a robust governance structure. The Advisory Board is chaired by Professor Joseph Ampiah Ghartey, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, and includes Professor Elsie Effah Kuafmann (Dean, School of Engineering, University of Ghana), Mrs. Amina Kaguah (Managing Partner, ENS Africa), Mr. Kojo Kwakye (Managing Director, Jack and Jill School), and Mr. Benjamin Yeboah, who serves as both Principal and Board member.
