The Electoral Commission (EC) has issued a stern warning ahead of the December polls, declaring that it will not shield any officer involved in electoral malpractices.

This announcement underscores the EC’s commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and transparent election process.

During a recent press conference, the Deputy Chairperson of the EC, Dr. Bossman Asare, highlighted the commission’s zero-tolerance policy toward any form of misconduct by its officials.

He assured the public that any officer found guilty of tampering with the electoral process would face severe consequences, including legal action.

“The commission would like to assure the public that it will not shield any of its officers both permanent and temporarily found complacent in any electoral malpractices and will always allow such persons to face the full rigours of the law,” he stated.
