The Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has underscored the importance of fathers in shaping national development, describing them as central to the building of strong families and communities.

In a Father’s Day message, she extended warm greetings to all fathers, father figures, and guardians across the country, expressing appreciation for their sacrifices and contributions to society.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang noted that fathers play a critical role in shaping the values, character, and aspirations of children, adding that their efforts often serve as the strong foundation for society.

“Fathers shape the values, character, and aspirations of our children, and their sacrifices often form the foundation upon which strong families and prosperous communities are built,” she stated.

“Their commitment to responsible parenthood, integrity, hard work, and service contributes significantly to our national development,” she said.

The Vice President wished all fathers a joyful celebration and prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and good health as they carry out their responsibilities.

“I wish all fathers a joyful Father’s Day. May you be granted good health, wisdom, and strength as you fulfill your important responsibilities,” she added.
