The Ghana Police Service has placed a bounty of GHC 15,000 each for any individual who can provide credible information that will lead to the perpetrators of two high-profile killings involving an investigator with Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI team, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
The other person is Josephine Asante, a Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of Tema Port under the Ghana Ports and Habours Authority, GPHA.
Ahmed, who led the team in the Number 12 investigative piece on corruption in Ghana football, was killed by two gunmen on a motorbike who shot into the car he was driving at Madina on Wednesday night.
The GHPA official was also stabbed to death in her home in Tema, after she had returned from a senior staff party. Her houseboy has since been picked up for interrogation.
The information about the police bounty was made known by the Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, during his maiden visit to the police Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

Meanwhile, the management of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), has also set aside a reward of GHC50,000 for information leading to the arrest of anyone who might have played a role in the killing of Josephine Asante.
‘I expect Police to bring Ahmed’s killers to book’ – Nana Addo
President Nana Akufo Addo has condemned the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
While extending condolences to the family of the deceased, the President said he expects the Police to bring the perpetrators of the act to book.
“I’ve learnt with sadness of the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an associate of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas. I condemn the act unreservedly, and extend my condolences to his family. I expect the police to bring to book, as soon as possible, the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Once again, my heartfelt condolences,” said the President in a Facebook post.
Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, speaking for government, also condemned the killing, saying the act must not be tolerated.
Mr. Oppong Nkrumah said the security agencies will intensify their efforts to ensure that the perpetrators are dealt with.
How Ahmed died
Ahmed’s boss, Anas Aremeyaw Anas in a message on Facebook announced the death, saying Ahmed was hit three times; twice in the chest and once in the neck following which he died on the spot.
In the video on his Facebook page, presented the announcement of his colleague’s murder within the context of Mr. Agyapong urging residents of Madina to go after Ahmed.
Citi News sources say Ahmed was the lead investigator of the Tiger Eye PI team in the Number 12 expose on corruption in Ghana football who arranged the meeting with former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi in Ghana and abroad.
The journalist has also spoken to Graphic Online about the incident, saying “he was just shot and killed; nothing was taken from him”, another member of the Anas’ team told Graphic Online.
