Prudential Bank Limited (PBL) and its Managing Director, Bernard Gyebi, picked up two prestigious awards for commitment to customer satisfaction and outstanding leadership, respectively, at the 5th National Governance and Business Leadership Awards held in Accra.

The Bank won the Customer Happiness Leadership Award – Banking category, while Mr Gyebi was adjudged Transformational Banking CEO of the Year, 2025.

The awards ceremony, organised by The Governance & Business Boardroom, publishers of The Boardroom Magazine, recognises and celebrates excellence in leadership and corporate governance.

The organisation, since its inception, has been dedicated to fostering collaboration among governance and business leaders worldwide, providing exclusive space for exchanging ideas, sharing best practices and building influential connections that drive organisational success and sustainable business growth.

Reacting to the double win, Mr. Gyebi expressed his delight and gratitude, saying, “These awards are testaments to our commitment to delivering on our brand promise of being truly dependable and customer-focused. We are thrilled to have received these. We dedicate the awards to our valued customers, without whom we would not have earned these recognitions. The loyalty and trust our customers have reposed in us have driven our success, and we are committed to continuing to deliver exceptional experiences for their benefit.”

A management delegation from the Bank, led by the Executive Head of Retail and Commercial Banking, Ebow Quayson and Executive Head, Corporate and Institutional Banking, Edward Commey, received the awards on behalf of the Bank from Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff at The Presidency, who represented the Chief of Staff as the special guest of honour.

Speaking at the event, Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo congratulated the recipients and stressed the need for stronger collaboration between government and the private sector in order to build resilient institutions, attract investment and create sustainable growth. She linked the awards to efforts by the government to generate jobs and boost productivity through technology and innovation.

PBL has in recent years been recognised and acclaimed for its products, services and digital innovation from institutions like the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA), ICSA Connected Banking West Africa and KPMG.

Established in 1996, Prudential Bank is a leading financial institution in Ghana, renowned for its customer-centric approach and innovative banking solutions.

With the tagline “Truly Dependable”, the Bank has consistently offered unique financial solutions for its diverse range of customers.
