Palestinians comb through the rubble of a police station in Gaza City after it was hit by an Israeli air strike on Saturday.
At least 30 Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to local sources, marking a sharp escalation in violence.
Saturday ranked among the deadliest days since the Gaza “ceasefire” came into effect in October, raising concerns about its continued viability.
In response to the strikes, Hamas called on mediator countries to urgently intervene to halt what it described as deadly Israeli attacks on the enclave.
