Eco-Africa Network, in partnership with StarLife Assurance Ghana, will on Friday, July 24, 2026, undertake a tree planting and school greening initiative at the Achimota Senior High School in Accra.
The initiative will see 300 tree seedlings planted within the school community as part of efforts to promote environmental sustainability, climate awareness, and greener learning spaces for students.
The programme will begin with a climate education session for students, followed by the tree planting exercise and other engagement activities aimed at encouraging young people to take an active role in climate action.
The initiative forms part of Eco-Africa Network’s broader environmental sustainability and youth climate education programmes, which include tree planting, waste management initiatives, climate awareness campaigns, and community-based environmental interventions.
The organisation says the partnership with StarLife Assurance Ghana demonstrates the importance of collaboration between civil society and the private sector in tackling climate change and promoting sustainable environmental practices.
The event is expected to bring together students, school authorities, partners, and environmental advocates to deepen conversations on climate change and encourage young people to become ambassadors for environmental sustainability.
