The Ghana Human Resource Service Providers Association of Ghana (GHRASP) has paid glowing tribute to Ghanaian workers for their resilience, dedication, and immense contributions to national development as the country marks Workers’ Day 2026.

In a statement to commemorate the occasion, the GHRASP described workers across all sectors as the driving force behind Ghana’s progress, highlighting their critical role in sustaining productivity, innovation, and economic growth.

“Across every sector, from formal employment to the informal economy, workers remain at the heart of productivity, innovation, and growth. Their commitment, especially in a rapidly changing world of work, deserves not just recognition—but continuous support,” the statement noted.

GHRASP also underscored the increasingly important role of human resource service providers in shaping modern workplaces.

According to the association, HR professionals are central to building organisations that are compliant, people-centred, and prepared for the future, particularly as businesses navigate evolving global trends.

“At the same time, GHRASP recognises the critical role of human resource service providers in shaping workplaces that are people-centred, compliant, and future-ready. As organisations adapt to change, the role of HR has never been more important,” it added.

The Association used the occasion to urge employers across the country to prioritise fair labour practices, improve employee welfare, and invest in continuous professional development. It stressed that creating safe, inclusive, and empowering work environments is essential to maximising the potential of Ghana’s workforce.

“This Workers’ Day, we call on employers to prioritize fair labour practices, employee well-being, and continuous development. Creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments is key to unlocking the full potential of our workforce.”

Employees were also encouraged to take responsibility for their own growth by embracing lifelong learning and adaptability, which GHRASP described as crucial for remaining relevant in today’s dynamic job market.
