Several high-profile cases linked to the government’s anti-corruption and anti-illegal mining campaign under “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) are scheduled to continue in court this week, between May 11 and May 15, 2026.
This was announced in a Facebook post by the Deputy Attorney General, Dr Justice Srem-Sai on Monday, May 11, 2026.
In his post, Dr Srem-Sai noted that multiple hearings fixed between May 11 and May 14 involved cases related to alleged illegal mining, cybersecurity offences and corruption-related matters.
According to him, proceedings opened on Monday, May 11, at Criminal Court 4 with the case of former CEO of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF), Solomon Asamoah, in the Skytrain case, where cross-examination of the third prosecution witness was expected to continue.
Another hearing on the same day involves the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) and Akonta Mining, the three others, linked to alleged illegal mining activities in the Nimiri Forest Reserve, with cross-examination of the first prosecution witness also scheduled.
On Tuesday, May 12, the case involving former Director General of the National Signals Bureau, Kwabena Adu Boahene, and two others, described as a cybersecurity software scandal matter, is set to continue at Specialised Court 1 with cross-examination of the third prosecution witness.
The Skytrain case is also expected to resume later the same day at Criminal Court 4.
Court proceedings are scheduled to continue on Wednesday, May 13, with the Akonta Mining case for further cross-examination of the first prosecution witness.
The cybersecurity software scandal case involving Kwabena Adu Boahene and two others is also expected to continue at Specialised Court 1 on the same day.
On Thursday, May 14, Dr Srem-Sai, the cybersecurity software scandal case, is again listed before Specialised Court 1, while Criminal Court 4 is expected to hear Chairman Wontumi in the Samborei Illegal Mining Case.
According to Dr Srem-Sai, May 14, proceedings in the Chairman Wontumi matter will focus on a case management conference for the defence.
The ORAL initiative forms part of the government’s broader effort to investigate and prosecute alleged corruption and illegal mining-related offences.
