The Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to securing justice for slain investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, assuring his family that efforts to bring the perpetrators to book remain ongoing.
Speaking during a visit to Ahmed Suale’s family at Wulensi in the Nanumba South District of the Northern Region on Saturday, June 20, the Minister said government would not relent in its pursuit of those responsible for the journalist’s murder.
In the presence of Ahmed Suale’s mother, Yakubu Arahamatu, Mr. Iddrisu expressed confidence that justice would ultimately prevail despite the passage of time.

“God’s justice is worth the wait, and government’s pursuit of justice in this matter is worth pursuing. We will continue to pursue it, we will unravel it, and we pray that God will support us to do so.
“There are some who think they can run away from justice, but though the wheels of justice may turn tortuously they will ultimately reach their destination and serve the ends of justice,” he stated.
The visit formed part of the Minister’s trip to the area, during which he first joined the NDC Constituency Chairman in Bimbilla to mourn the passing of his father.
Mr. Iddrisu also announced support for the family, assuring Ahmed Suale’s sister of consideration under the Ghana Education Service teacher recruitment process to enable her continue supporting the family.
