Fan Milk PLC, one of Ghana’s leading dairy and beverage companies, has launched the 65th anniversary edition of its FanMilk School Caravan: A Wrapper Collection Challenge in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service.

This year’s School Caravan builds on a programme launched in 2018 with the Ghana Education Service to promote healthy snacking among school children and advance environmental sustainability through education and action.

The 65th Anniversary milestone underscores FanMilk’s long-term commitment to investing in the future of Ghana’s children and their learning environments.

As part of the 2025 Caravan, FanMilk is scaling up this engagement to reach 1,000 schools across the country, anchored by the Wrapper Collection Challenge and a strategic partnership with MiniPlast Ghana Limited as the official recycling partner.

In a grand launch ceremony held at the Services Basic School, Burma Camp, Accra, the Managing Director, Lionel Parent, highlighted the scale and expected impact for this edition.

“This year, we are scaling up the programme with an ambitious goal to reach 1,000 schools across Ghana, engaging students and teachers in a transformative journey of learning, growth environmental impact.”

“As part of our 65th anniversary and our commitment to thriving with our communities, we are rewarding the winning school in this year’s wrapper collection challenge with funds to support the refurbishment of a learning facility. This is our way of giving back to the communities that have supported us for over six decades,” he added.

The National Director for the School Health Education programme (SHEP), Mrs. Theresa Oppong-Mensah also lauded FanMilk and reaffirmed the School Caravan’s alignment with health and environmental education priorities of SHEP.

The FanMilk School Caravan addresses this by teaching students the value of proper snacking habits in school and at home and most importantly, the need to care for our environment. This year, as FanMilk celebrates its 65th anniversary, we are excited about their decision to expand this programme to reach 1,000 schools across Ghana. This is indeed a commendable decision by FanMilk Ghana and its partners,” she said.

In his welcome remarks, Head Teacher of the Services Basic School, Mr. Dzisah, expressed his positivity for this year’s FanMilk School Caravan. He commended FanMilk for this initiative and encouraged students to actively participate in the Wrapper Collection Challenge, noting that such initiatives not only foster environmental responsibility but also inspire academic excellence.

Since its inception, the FanMilk School Caravan, in partnership with GES has consistently promoted proper snacking habits and sustainability practices among Ghanaian students. As FanMilk Ghana celebrates its 65th year of providing refreshing dairy-based products to Ghanaians, the company remains dedicated to being an agent of change, fostering social progress, and ensuring the longevity of its heritage brand.
