The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, Duke Ofori-Atta, has donated medical equipment and building materials to the Bosuso Health Facility in the Eastern Region to improve healthcare delivery in the area.

The support forms part of his broader efforts to strengthen the health sector within the constituency.

Speaking during the presentation, Ofori-Atta said improving access to quality healthcare remains a key priority of his leadership.

“Health is one of the key sectors I am determined to improve. Any country whose people do not enjoy good health will inevitably suffer. It is therefore important that I continue to support healthcare delivery in my area,” he said.

The items donated included two HP laptops, 10 adult weighing scales, a microscope, hospital chairs, vehicle tyres, and quantities of floor tiles, cement, sand, and wood to support renovation works at the facility.

Ofori Atta commended the staff of the Bosuso Health Facility for their dedication and urged them to continue delivering quality services.

He also assured them of his commitment to advocating for improved working conditions and additional health personnel in Parliament.

He appealed to the facility to maintain the equipment to ensure long-term benefits for residents.

Receiving the items, the acting officer in charge, Anita, expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely.

“We are very grateful for this support. These medical items will go a long way to enhance quality healthcare in this community. The renovation materials will also help improve the state of our facility. God richly bless you for remembering us in our time of need,” she said.

She added, jokingly, that “Oliver Twist always asks for more,” in anticipation of further support.

The donation is expected to improve service delivery and upgrade infrastructure at the facility, which serves Bosuso and surrounding communities in the Fanteakwa South District.
